Commissioning of modernised elastomer compounds facility in Hungary
German plastics and elastomer processing company Hübner (Kassel; www.huebner-group.com) is commissioning its compounding plant for elastomer products, which it said is one of the most modern of its kind and one that will give better product quality to customers in terms of special fire protection properties.

Located in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, the entire number 2 production facility has been rebuilt and updated to the latest standards. The production of rubber compounds for the classic Hübner seals will also be integrated into the Nyíregyháza location from Palotás-Mix Kft in Kemeneshőgyész, Hungary. These changes will result in a “significant increase” in production capacities. No details were given.

With the new compounding plant, energy and water consumption is cut by 30% and 50%, respectively, while transport routes to customers will be shorter. Huebner’s headquarters in Kassel can remotely control the facility through its state-of-the-art software.
