British triennial plastics industry event, “Interplas” (www.interplasuk.com) – which had first been scheduled to run from 29 September to 1 October 2020, and then was postponed to 29 June to 1 July 2021 – has now been further postponed to 28 to 30 September 2021, according to organiser Rapid News Group (Chester / UK; www.rapidnews.com). The event will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham / UK, as previously planned.

The reason for the reschedule, according to Rapid News, is the health, safety and well-being of attendees. Duncan Wood, CEO of the group, said, “The latest information in the UK means the right thing to do is to reschedule the event to enable a further 13 weeks of vaccinations to take place ahead of the event. This has the potential to have a huge impact on attendee’s ability to visit.”

Other industry trade fairs that had been postponed in 2020 and are scheduled to take place this year are “France Innovation Plasturgie” (FIP) in Lyon (see Plasteurope.com of 04.05.2020) and “ChemPlast Expo” in Madrid / Spain (see Plasteurope.com of 14.07.2020).
