CRAEMER
Waste containers added to French market portfolio / Middle East sales company in Dubai
France’s latest commitment to recycling and waste separation – see Plasteurope.com of 17.08.2018 – apparently resonates well with the German plastics processing industry. For instance, the Craemer group built around Paul Craemer (Herzebrock-Clarholz / Germany; www.craemer.de), is extending its sales activities in France to large waste containers. The company is also setting up a Middle East sales office in the Dubai South free trade zone near the international airport in Dubai / United Arab Emirates.

At the environmental trade fair “Pollutec” (www.pollutec.com) in Lyon / France at the end of November 2018, subsidiary Craemer France (Montreuil / France), founded in 2009, presented a wide range of products for the French waste disposal industry – several types of two- and four-wheel containers as well as containers with Diamond receptacles and pallet boxes. The product portfolio previously consisted of the group’s pallet and transport container ranges. In this segment, the company won the contract for the reusable plastic pallet pool of French retail giant Intermarché against five other pallet manufacturers – a total of 260,000 pallets were produced for the supermarket chain.

With its new branch office in Dubai, Craemer plans to boost its international growth. The entire product range of plastic pallets, storage, transport and large refuse containers is now distributed in the Middle East. Regional manager Ahmad Abdullatif Younis has operational responsibility for the company.

With injection moulding plants in Germany and the UK, the Craemer group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of plastic pallets and containers, primarily made of HDPE. Additional activities are metal forming and tool making. The group employs approximately 900 people and generated total revenues of EUR 265m in 2017.
