German films specialist Infiana (Forchheim; www.infiana.com) has signed a long-term co-operation agreement with China’s Golden Umbrella Waterproofing to develop products for the construction and waterproofing industries. Peter Wahsner, Infiana’s CEO, said the company was determined to use its technology and expertise to support the Chinese firm’s aim to become a leader in waterproofing systems in the country. “The co-operation with Infiana enhances the possibility for Golden Umbrella Waterproofing to penetrate the premium sector, especially for mechanical, highly tear-resistant surface films for cold self-adhesive bitumen membrane applications,” he commented.

The deal was one of a total 24 agreements that were signed during the "8th Sino-German Forum for Economic and Technological Co-operation" in Beijing on 13 June.
