The Flexibles Asia Pacific division of Amcor (Hawthorn, Victoria / Australia; www.amcor.com) on 1 June announced that it has completed the acquisition of Zhongshan Tian Cai Packaging (Zhongshan City, Guangdong / China; www.tcpack.com) – for previous coverage, see Plasteurope.com of 22.12.2014. The purchase brings 390 new employees as well as a plant specialised in printing and manufacturing multi-layered film for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical markets into the fold of the global flexible packaging giant.

Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific president Ralf Wunderlich said the acquisition is “testament to our commitment to Amcor’s growth in China.” The group now operates 10 facilities in the People’s Republic alone.
