UK producer moves to new site to expand manufacturing
UK formulated polyurethanes manufacturer Leeson Polyurethanes (Warwick; www.lpultd.com) is expanding its operations by moving into a new manufacturing headquarters near Warwick. The company, which was set up by David and Kathleen Leeson in 1986, has invested more than GBP 4m (EUR 5.1m) in the new 4,800 m2 facility, where it plans to expand its workforce from 29 employees to 40. The new site is located near the company’s previous 2,300 m2 base.

Leeson Polyurethanesclaims to be the UK’s largest manufacturer of formulated polyurethanes, which are used as binders and coatings in applications such as floor coatings, waterproofing, anti-skid surfaces, sports pitches and adhesives. In an interview with a local newspaper David Leeson said: “We currently export 35% of what we manufacture and we are hoping to increase this to 45% at the same time as securing new clients.”
