UK formulated polyurethanes manufacturer Leeson Polyurethanes (Warwick; www.lpultd.com) is expanding its operations by moving into a new manufacturing headquarters near Warwick. The company, which was set up by David and Kathleen Leeson in 1986, has invested more than GBP 4m (EUR 5.1m) in the new 4,800 m² facility, where it plans to expand its workforce from 29 employees to 40. The new site is located near the company’s previous 2,300 m² base.

Leeson Polyurethanesclaims to be the UK’s largest manufacturer of formulated polyurethanes, which are used as binders and coatings in applications such as floor coatings, waterproofing, anti-skid surfaces, sports pitches and adhesives. In an interview with a local newspaper David Leeson said: “We currently export 35% of what we manufacture and we are hoping to increase this to 45% at the same time as securing new clients.”
