Opening of new US packaging production facility
Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held recently in the US as Austrian packaging specialist Alpla Werke Alwin Lehner (Hard; www.alpla.com) opened its new facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Austrians invested more than USD 22m (EUR 16.5m) in its newest location, which creates 72 jobs in Warren County – see Plasteurope.com of 14.02.2013. Worldwide, Alpla counts about 13,000 employees working at 148 production sites in 39 countries.
