As recently announced, Rütgers AG (D-45128 Essen; www.ruetgers.de) is selling the acoustics (CWW) and plastics technology (RKT) divisions of its automotive engineering branch. The divisions are being sold to a consortium of German financial investors, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, Beteiligungsgesellschaft für die deutsche Wirtschaft mbH and Süd Private Equity Management GmbH. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. The transaction still must be approved by cartel authorities.

The acoustics division led by CWW-Gerko Akustik GmbH (D-67547 Worms) has five facilities, including three in Germany, one in Spain and one in the US, and a total of 1,270 employees. According to Rütgers, the two segments had combined turnover of EUR 245m in the last fiscal year.
