Building polyurethane insulation materials plant in Germany / EUR 25m investment
Construction at the German location is underway (Photo: Soprema)
Soprema (Strasbourg / France; www.soprema.com) has started building a new plant for polyurethane insulation materials at its German site in Hof/Oberroßbach. Construction of the new plant officially began on 10 June, and the EUR 25m investment project is set to be completed within a year. Once it is up and running, the facility will offer 50 new jobs.

The company first set up shop in Hof/Oberroßbach last year, when it established a manufacturing line for bitumen sheeting. Soprema’s administrative offices in Germany are located in Mannheim. The blueprints for the new facility draw heavily on the company’s experiences from its three existing PU insulation plants in France, as well as its facility in Canada. The PU components, which are used mostly as flat and incline insulation for roofing, walls and floors, are sold under the "Efyos" brand name.
