In mid-June, Jean-Claude Pierre will take over at the helm of composites producer Scott Bader (Wollaston, Northamptonshire / UK; www.scottbader.com), replacing Philip Bruce who will retire after having held the position for a decade. Pierre has more than 26 years of experience in senior management, and most recently served as managing director of Ems Group’s China business.
Under his leadership, the resins producer plans to continue working toward its “Vision 2020” strategy, which includes globalisation objectives and the set-up of joint ventures such as the one established in India in 2012 (see Plasteurope.com of 26.07.2012). When announcing his appointment, Pierre said, “The ‘Vision 2020’ strategy has added new advanced products and significantly increased Scott Bader’s global business presence through key acquisitions and joint ventures in recent years. The next five years are critical to leverage this expanded global position in key markets, find new opportunities, and continue to invest in innovation and people, the two core strengths of the business.”
Scott Bader has an annual turnover of about USD 287m and operates production plants in Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, India, Canada and Latin America. Its global workforce exceeds 640.
