Sumitomo's Okamura joins Demag management board
Tetsuya Okamura of Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI, Tokyo / Japan; www.shi.co.jp) has joined the management board of Demag Plastics Group (DPG, Schwaig / Germany; www.dpg.com). Together with Demag CFO Uwe Rohfleisch, Okamura will represent the companies in advance of their integration following the acquisition of Demag by Sumitomo – see Plasteurope.com of 13.03.2008. Klaus Erkes, formerly CEO of Demag Plastics Group left the company on 15 March 2008.
Tsuneo Nagano and Thomas Müller, both of Sumitomo, join the company’s supervisory board, succeeding Henning Scheele and Peter Sassenfeld, who were previously the mpm (Munich / Germany; www.mpm-group.com) representatives on the supervisory board.
