Polish manufacturer kicks off production of polyethylene foam in Olszyna / Plant claimed to be the largest of its kind in Europe
Polish packaging and insulation manufacturer Novostrat (Pabianice; www.novostrat.pl) has started producing polyethylene foam at its factory in Olszyna / Poland, located near the German and Czech borders. The plant, which used to house a furniture factory, produces foam for building insulation and soundproofing and for the packaging and floorboard industries. Its entire output is to go to western Europe.

Commenting on the start-up, Novostrat vice preident Henryk Arciszewski said: “This factory will not only be Novostrat’s largest factory but it will be the largest polyethylene foam producing facility in the whole of Europe.” Once production reaches full gear, some 300 people could find work at the plant.

Novostrat also runs factories in France and Ireland.
