Investment in additional production line at Berlin / Start up scheduled for early 2015
US company Johns Manville(Denver, Colorado; www.jm.com), a manufacturer of building insulation and specialist in roofing, plans to spend EUR 32m to build its fourth production line for polyester nonwovens at its Berlin / Germany location. To commemorate the occasion, the Berkshire Hathaway company will turn the sod in a groundbreaking ceremony on 17 July.
The new production line is scheduled for start up by early 2015 and will add 20 jobs. Johns Manville has sales of approximately USD 2.5 bn and employs more than 7,000 people in 45 manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and China.
