FANUC ROBOSHOT
New line of injection moulding machines / Faster drive systems, faster injection speed
Japanese machinery manufacturer Fanuc Roboshot (Germany: Fanuc Roboshot Europe, Neuhausen; www.fanuc.de) has unveiled a new line of double-toggle, all-electric drive, injection moulding machines under the name "Roboshot B".

Two different drive systems are available – a modified ball and belt plus a new direct drive with a maximum speed of 500 mm/s. With this, Fanuc sees further possible applications, such as fast, thin-wall packaging applications and thin-wall housings for mobile phones and similar products. For this purpose, the standard injection rate is increased from 200 mm/s to 330 mm/s. The horizontal tie bar distance has been increased by 40 mm, and greater rigidity is achieved through the use of a two-piece moving platen.

The product line with clamping forces of 500, 1,000, 1,500 and 3,000 kN – models 50B to 300B – is due to come to the market this month. The machines can alternatively be supplied with "SR Mate" robots and are then called the "50BR" to "300BR".
