The facility produces multilayer films and bags from polyethylene with five or seven layers made without polyvinylidene chloride (PVdC) but with PA/EVOH barrier layer said to account for less than 5% of the product and thus have no impact on recycling.

The films are used for packaging meat and cheese. According to Amcor, they extend the shelf life of fresh food products by providing high barrier protection against oxygen and moisture.
