Title: bio!PAC - Biobasierte Materialien für Verpackungsanwendungen
  english below...

ENGLISH
Packaging is necessary for the protection during transport and storage, to prevent product losses,
to increase shelf life and to share product information and marketing.
BUT: Packaging does not necessarily need to be made from petroleum based plastics.
Most packaging have a short life and therefore give rise to large quantities of waste. Accordingly, it is vital to use the most suitable raw materials and implement good ‘end-of-life’ solutions. Biobased and compostable materials have a key role to play in this respect.
Biobased packaging is packaging made from mother nature‘s gifts. Biobased packaging can be made from renewable resources or waste streams .
Biobased packaging can offer innovative features and beneficial barrier properties. Biobased packaging can help to reduces the depletion of finite fossil resources and CO2 emissions
Biobased packaging can offer environmental benefits in the end-of-life phase. Biobased packaging offers incredible opportunities.
That‘s why bioplastics MAGAZINE in cooperation with Green Serendipity is now organizing the third edition of
bio!PAC : conference on packaging made from biobased materials, i.e. from renewable resources.

The conference not only covers biobased materials and application examples from suppliers and brand owners.
Different disposal options end-of-life scenarios will also be discussed as well as the availability of agricultural land for material use versus food and feed
The 2 day-conference will be held on the 28th and 29th of May 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The conference will be held at Maritim Airport Hotel.
The final programme is now published and can be found on the event website.
