POLYMER PRICE FORECASTS
OPEC to produce more oil / Seasonal demand to determine prices
— By Plasteurope.com Price Team —
In September, the price of naphtha remained at a moderate level. OPEC+ has announced that it will again increase production, this time starting in October, which is likely to put further pressure on oil prices. Thus, expectations are at most for a slight increase in the cost of intermediate products in October and November. Moderate seasonal demand trends and a balanced market point to widespread stability.

This trend is likely to continue in December. According to our calculations, prices are likely to remain stable as neither a significant supply shortage nor a major drop in demand is expected. In January, inventory adjustments typical for the season and the end of production cycles are likely to determine price developments.
