Major price hikes for PVB films

Sekisui Specialty Chemicals (Dallas, Texas, USA; www.sekisui-sc.com) has announced price increases of at least 25% for its PVB films used as interlayers in safety glass. The hikes cover S-LEC brand films worldwide, the company said.
Sekisui cited tight raw material supplies and a dramatic increase in various production costs as justifications for the move.
