Film and packaging manufacturer ProAmpac (Cincinnati, Ohio / USA; www.proampac.com) is snapping up more assets in Europe. After takeovers of several UK competitors (see Plasteurope.com of 19.07.2021 and 29.03.2021), the company has now acquired Euroflex (Bunbeg / Ireland; www.euroflex.ie), a manufacturer of vacuum bags for the food industry and other packaging applications. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The Euroflex acquisition expands ProAmpac’s production capacities for printed flexible films and pouch packaging. Following the deal, the US company, which is majority-owned by compatriot investment firm Pritzker Private Capital (Chicago, Illinois; www.ppcpartners.com), has 44 locations worldwide with 5,800 employees.
