Total lifts force majeure for polystyrene deliveries from France
Petrochemical group Total (Paris / France; www.total.com) has lifted the force majeure for the production of polystyrene at its French site in Carling (see Plasteurope.com of 27.11.2020), the company announced in a customer letter. The PS plant is running again and has already reached almost-normal production levels for all types.

The resumption of production in Carling should alleviate the recently tight supply situation. According to Plasteurope.com’s Polyglobe database (www.polyglobe.net), the plant has a PS capacity of 260,000 t/y.
