Previously announced price hikes for their intermediate MMA and PMMA/PMMI moulding compounds (see Plasteurope.com of 27.10.2020) are now resulting in price increases at Röhm (Darmstadt / Germany; www.roehm.com) for their semi-finished products of “Plexiglas” and “Deglas” brands produced from it. From the beginning of January 2021, the producer intends to increase the price of these in Europe by EUR 150/t.
At the same time, the prices for acrylic adhesives of the "Acryfix" brand are to be raised by 5%.
The MMA/PMMA segment was sold to private equity firm Advent International by Evonik (Essen / Germany; www.evonik.com) in 2019. It has been operating under its former name Röhm since the acquisition.
