RecyClass (Brussels / Belgium; www.recyclass.eu), a cross-industry initiative developed by Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE, Brussels; www.plasticsrecyclers.eu), has announced the official launch of its “Recycled Plastics Traceability Certification”. The programme is now operational following the recent release of the audit scheme as well as the implementation of its quality management systems and processes.

The certification is for companies seeking to verify that their plastic products contain recycled material. The process is said to assess and guarantee the origins and traceability of recycled material across the value chain by providing a transparent and reliable approach in the calculation of pre- and post-consumer material shares.
