Lindner Washtech (Grossbottwar / Germany; www.lindner-washtech.com), a producer of washing and sorting systems for hard plastics and film, said it has supplied equipment for a recycling plant run by Slovenian reclaim firm Dinos (Ljubliana; www.dinos.si/en) at its headquarters. The German company noted that the site processes industrial plastics waste with a focus on film.

Lindner reported that the plant, which opened in February, uses a multi-purpose line to wash and regranulate LDPE and HDPE/PP at a rate of some 8-12 t per eight-hour shift. The primary materials processed are said to be LDPE and LLDPE clear wrap that is mainly film from industry and supermarket packaging along with mixed post-consumer LDPE films, HDPE drums and canisters, and PP crates and packaging.

The plant also uses equipment from Erema (Ansfelden / Austria; www.erema.at), Lindner said. Dinos is a unit of Scholz Recycling (Essingen / Germany; www.scholz-recycling.com), and the subsidiary’s 19 waste depots in Slovenia make it one of the largest waste management and recycling firms in the country, Lindner added.
