MAUSER
Expansion of production plant in Germany
Mauser Packaging Solutions (Oak Brook, Illinois / USA; www.mauserpackaging.com) is investing more than EUR 10m to expand its plant in Erkelenz / Germany. The investment would increase its level of vertical integration and widen its pioneering activities in the lifecycle management of packaging and packaging materials. It would also scale up Mauser’s activities in the food packaging sector.

The plant manufactures intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and components for the company’s global IBC production activities. Industrial packaging reconditioning and plastics recycling activities are also done at Erkelenz. The facility makes “Recolene”, a sustainable HDPE post-consumer resin material for high-quality HDPE applications, and processes it into new packaging containing up to 90% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material.
