French company to start production in Russia

Automotive supplier Novares (Paris / France; www.novaresteam.com) has opened its first plant in Russia. The company rents a 1,860 m² site in an industrial park in Togliatti / Russia that is a manufacturing location to AvtoVAZ, the Russian automaker which is part of Renault-Nissan.

The new factory is one of three Novares has set up to better assist the Renault-Nissan alliance – see Plasteurope.com of 30.05.2019 – with the other two in Mioveni / Romania and Kenitra / Morocco – see Plasteurope.com of 04.10.2017 and 08.06.2017. The plant will begin producing engine parts in May 2020. At the start of 2021 Novares will rent a further 2,600 m² of space and expand production to include making and assembling roof bars. The site will employ 130 workers by 2021 and is anticipated to achieve EUR 13m turnover by 2025.
