Integrated PP complex starts up in Southern China

On 26 October 2019, Dongguan Grand Resource’s (Dongguan, Guangdong / China) integrated complex for polypropylene production in Dongguan – see Plasteurope.com of 23.05.2019 – officially started up. The site is in Southern China between Hong Kong and Guangzhou. Propane dehydrogenation is the source for propylene, which is processed directly to PP. According to Plasteurope.com’s Polyglobe database (www.polyglobe.net), the nameplate capacity is 600,000 t/y for both plants.
The company is owned by Juzhengyuan Energy (Shenzhen, Guangdong; www.jzyjt.cn). China National Chemical Engineering (Beijing / China; www.cncec.cn) built the new facility.
