Penn Color (Doylestown, Pennsylvania / USA; www.penncolor.com), a manufacturer of colour concentrates, masterbatches and pigment dispersions, has completed a USD 12m (EUR 11m) expansion of its facilities in Venray / The Netherlands.

The US-headquartered group has added capabilities for colour and additive masterbatches used in highly concentrated PVC and engineering plastics. The expansion has also supported the production of high-end speciality coating, Penn Color said.

The site, which currently produces thermoplastic masterbatches for packaging, water-based inks and coatings for wallcovering and flooring, will now also produce masterbatches for use in PVC profiles and siding, calendared PVC films and various engineering polymer applications. The project also included a new customer innovation centre for collaborating with clients, showcasing Penn Color’s new rapid digital colour matching and prototyping system.

The company will hold an official opening ceremony on 12 Octobe 2019r. Penn Color has annual global sales of over USD 200m and employs more than 650 people at eight plants – five in the US and one each in the Netherlands, India and China.
