Contract signed with wind energy specialist Vestas for structural foams
Diab (Laholm / Sweden; www.diabgroup.com) has signed a five-year supply contract for PET- and PVC-based structural foams worth EUR 200-250m with wind energy specialist Vestas (Aarhus / Denmark; www.vestas.com).

Specifically, the structural foam manufacturer plans to invest in “Divinycell” PET foam plants, with its main facility in Helsingborg / Sweden, as well as production in DeSoto, Texas / USA, Diab’s chief commercial officer Roland Karlsson told Plasteurope.com. He did not comment on the amount of investment.

Diab also operates core material plants in Siauliai / Lithuania, Faè di Longarone / Italy and Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu / China. The company also processes balsa wood in Ecuador.
