Flexible composites manufacturer the Orca group (Paris / France), backed by investment firm Idi (Paris; www.idi.fr), has announced the creation of its third branch – the Angeloni group. The entity comprises carbon fabrics and high-tech composites through the acquisition of its four Italian partners G. The first three companies manufacture fibres made from carbon, aramid and glass, while Impregnatex produces prepregs and dielectric laminates.

Through its Orca (www.orca.eu) and Fait Plast (www.faitplast.com) brands, the Orca group manufactures elastomer-coated textiles and multilayer thermoplastic films for the marine, safety, transportation, industrial, sportswear, technical packaging and medical sectors. Following the acquisitions, group revenue is expected to be around EUR 120m, with 280 employees and four production sites in Belgium and Italy.
