EURO-COMPOSITES
Investment of EUR 160m at site in Luxembourg / Composites panels for aerospace
Composites specialist Euro-Composites (Echternach / Luxembourg; www.euro-composites.com) is planning a EUR 160m investment up to 2030 at its main site in Echternach. The company has signed a declaration of intent with the government of Luxembourg, the city of Echternach and the bank Société Nationale de Crédit et d'Investissement (SNCI).

Euro-Composites intends to raise new buildings for production and administration with modern equipment. It expects to create around 100 new jobs with this move.

At three locations – in Bitburg / Germany and Elkwood, Virginia / USA in addition to its site in Echternach – the Luxembourg-based company produces honeycomb cores, panels, laminates and ready-to-install parts for aerospace, military, rail and boat construction applications. For its plastics activities, Euro-Composites uses PU foams, carbon and glass fibre prepregs as well as honeycomb cores from “Nomex” and “Kevlar” aramid fibres. In 2018, it built, among other things, a cold store with 100,000 m² storage space for prepregs. Airbus and Boeing are among the NATO-approved company’s biggest customers.

Euro-Composites was founded in 1985 by CEO and owner Mathias Rolf Alter. In 2018, around 1,100 employees generated sales of EUR 179m.
