Europe's plastic waterproofing membrane producers association elects Bernard Merkx as managing director

During the European Single ply Waterproofing Association's (ESWA, Brussels / Belgium; www.eswa.be) general assembly in Brussels in May 2019, Koichi Oba was re-elected as president, Bruno Broccanello as vice president and Erik Øyno as treasurer.
Bernard Merkx will be taking over as the ESWA's next managing director. He follows Karin Arz, who will step down on 30 June 2019 after holding this position for the past several years.
The association represents the interests of thermoplastic/single ply waterproofing membrane producers in Europe. Its objective is to promote innovative, durable and environmentally friendly thermoplastic waterproofing products. The ESWA's company members are Alwitra, Danosa, Firestone Building Products EMEA, FlachdachTechnologie, Imper Italia, Protan, Renolit Iberica and Renolit Belgium, Sika Services, Soprema and Wolfin Bautechnik.
