Michael Schernthaner has been appointed as CEO of packaging films manufacturer Schur Flexibles (Wiener Neudorf / Austria; www.schurflexibles.com). He served for two years as Schur’s CFO. Owner Lindsay Goldberg had previously restructured Schur management to a team of three, consisting of Schernthaner, COO Juan Luís Martínez Arteaga and CSO Friedrich Humer – see Plasteurope.com of 27.08.2018.

Formerly senior manager of finance projects Michael Fischkin will be joining Schur Flexibles’ top management team as group finance director. Thomas Unger, managing partner at Lindsay Goldberg, will be chairman of the advisory board.

Schernthaner is to concentrate on the company's strategic development, which grew sales to EUR 520m from EUR 350m due to several acquisitions. Further buys are likely on the agenda.
