Belgian plastics distributor Resinex (Arendonk; www.resinex.com) has added Dow’s (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) range for blown and cast film to its European portfolio, to be distributed under the “Dowlex GM” brand. According to Dow, the post-metallocene catalyst-based material has a higher performance than standard LLDPE products regarding processing, optical properties and sealing resistance. The new range can also be combined with other polyethylenes to be processed into blends. The Dowlex GM 8490 LLDPE types are available for cast film, and the GM 8090 and GM 8091 types can be used for blown film.
