Since 1 April 2019, speciality chemicals distributor Krahn Chemie (Hamburg / Germany; www.krahn.eu) is operating its Italian subsidiary Pietro Carini under the new name Krahn Italia, which is based in Milan. The name was changed exactly five years after the company's entry into the Krahn group. The name uniformity represents the strategic unity of the group, making it "even more visible from the outside."

Krahn Chemie markets a range of chemicals such as additives, fillers and plasticisers for the plastics and rubber sectors, such as polyols, prepolymers, PVC, EVA and EPDM, as well as speciality polymers such as PVB. In 2018, the distribution group with 185 employees recorded sales of around EUR 250m. The company has subsidiaries or local sales teams established in the Benelux region, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Romania.
