Expansion of sheet production in India / Further investments planned
Plastics processor Röchling Engineering Plastics (Haren / Germany) inaugurated its second plant at Vadodara, Gujarat / India. The 5,000 m² building cost EUR 2.5m and houses an extrusion line that produces the Röchling group’s (Mannheim / Germany; www.roechling.com) “Polystone P” PP in 2,500 mm wide sheets. The length and thickness of the product can be specified by the customer.

The company’s other Vadodara site, which came onstream in 2014, manufactures its “Polystone M” UHMW-PE and “Sustarin C” POM products in sheets, rods and profiles for various industry sectors. Röchling employs a staff of over 100 in India, working at sales locations across the country and at its CNC machining centre in Vasai, Maharashtra, which produces composite and engineering plastic components. The group's CEO, Franz Lübbers, announced the intention to invest another EUR 5m in capacity expansion in India at the inauguration of the new site.
