Takeover of Invista's German plant completed

On 5 March 2019, Indorama Ventures (IVL, Bangkok / Thailand; www.indoramaventures.com) completed the takeover of Invista Resins & Fibers (Hattersheim / Germany) together with its polyester plants in Gersthofen / Germany. The deal with former parent company Invista (Wichita, Kansas / USA; www.invista.com) was announced in December 2018. The acquisition is focused on the PET specialities produced in Gersthofen for barrier packaging, including the technology and brand rights – see Plasteurope.com of 04.01.2019.
