Thermoplastic copolyester for 3D printing
“Arnitel ID2060 HT” is DSM’s (Sittard / The Netherlands; www.dsm.com) new thermoplastic copolyester (TPC) for 3D printing using fused filament fabrication (FFF). The filament’s properties include flexibility as well as chemical and high-temperature resistance, making it ideal for demanding automotive air-fuel and industrial applications. Parts printed with this TPC can withstand prolonged exposure to high temperatures – 1,000 hours at 175 °C or 500 hours at 190 °C – and chemicals such as exhaust gas circulation condensate.

The copolyester's properties make it suitable for under-hood applications, components in air-fuel management systems as well as engine shields and general covers for vehicles. It also allows manufacturers to replace aluminium and rubber for lightweight applications. The material is available in spools of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm width.
