Since 1 January 2018, Kenneth Roessler is the new CEO of SCI Packaging, the parent company of German industrial packaging manufacturer Mauser (Bruehl; www.mausergroup.com). After six years, Peter Schaefer has also stepped down as CEO of Mauser on 31 December 2017 (see Plasteurope.com of 21.02.2012), but he remains on the board of directors at SCI Packaging. Mauser is now led by SCI Packaging and an executive leadership team.

Roessler has led US rigid containers manufacturer Bway (Oak Brook, Illinois; www.bwaycorp.com) for the past 15 years, another subsidiary of SCI Packaging that is also focused on metal and plastic containers. The unit of the US industrial holding company Stone Canyon Industries (SCI, Santa Monica, California / USA; www.stonecanyonllc.com) acquired Mauser in 2017 for USD 2.3 bn.
