New warehouse opened in Luxembourg
United Caps (Wiltz / Luxembourg; www.unitedcaps.com), which produces plastic closures and caps, has celebrated the opening of a fully automatic warehouse at its head office in Luxembourg. The new facility increases the company's warehousing capacity by 30%, from 3,000 to 4,500 pallets. "Twenty-five years ago we opened our plant in Wiltz and have invested further in it each year since then", explained Benoît Henckes, CEO of United Caps, at the opening ceremony.

The Wiltz plant is the cap manufacturer's biggest site and, according to the CEO, "one of the most productive and modern facilities of its type in Europe". Annual production totals more than 9 bn closures and caps. This new building and the laying of the foundation stone for the company's first location outside Europe, in Malaysia – see Plasteurope.com of 07.06.2017 – underlines its stable growth and the "close-to-you" strategy it adopts in its business relations with big customers all over the world, says Henckes.
