Agreement for transfer of “Barex” technology falls through / All production to cease by month's end
Unable to reach an agreement over the sale of the intellectual property and production support related to its “Barex” portfolio, Ineos (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) on 22 September terminated all discussions with MSM Poly (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.msmpoly.com), the company founded earlier this year to take in the acrylonitrile methyl acrylate copolymer latex (AMAC) resins (see Plasteurope.com of 20.07.2016).

As a result, Ineos Barex (Lima, Ohio / USA; www.ineosbarex.com) will cease producing the portfolio at the end of September this year, before commencing closure and demolition activities. Ineos added that its other two businesses in Lima would not be affected by the closure.
