National Container Group (NCG; www.ncg-europe.com), the reconditioning subsidiary of industrial packaging company Mauser (Brühl / Germany; www.mausergroup.com), is expanding its North American activities to include plastics recycling through the acquisition of Engineered Recycling (ERC, Charlotte, North Carolina / USA; www.erecycling-usa.com). Financial details of the purchase were not disclosed.

Michael Chorpash, NCG president and CEO, said that he was pleased to expand the company’s service portfolio to include responsible material recycling in North America. “We have successfully upgraded our market approach by offering full life cycle services in Europe and South America and look forward to continually expanding our comprehensive service portfolio,” he added.
