It appears to be a year of changes for distributor Albis Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.albis.com) and parent company Otto Krahn, itself a distributor and compounder. After managing director Jörg Schottek resigned this summer (see Plasteurope.com of 25.06.2015), the executive board of the Kranich Foundation and the management board of Otto Krahn have announced that Philip Krahn will become the future CEO of Albis Plastic and also a member of Otto Krahn’s board.
The CEO-designate will assume his responsibilities gradually, the company said, adding that on 1 November, he will join the management board of Albis Plastic with specific responsibility for the Far East. On 1 January 2016, Philip Krahn will then join the executive board of Otto Krahn and become the managing director of Krahn Verwaltungs GmbH. By that time the board will be short a member, as current CFO Hans-Jochen Lorenzen will leave on 31 December. Philip Krahn will assume CEO responsibilities at some point in 2016, when he returns from Asia, where he currently manages the group’s Hong Kong and China subsidiaries.
A shareholder in the family-owned Otto Krahn group, Philip Krahn will share his executive board responsibilities with Kerstin Müller-Kirchhofs, who will remain the spokesperson for Albis’ management board until Philip Krahn fully assumes his responsibilities as chief executive.
