CFRP processors Aerolia and Sogerma merged into new company Stelia Aerospace
In line with its October announcement (see Plasteurope.com of 22.10.2014), aircraft producer Airbus has merged its two French subsidiaries Aerolia (Méaulte; www.aerolia.com) and Sogerma (Rennes; www.sogerma.net). On 1 January the suppliers of structural and exterior elements as well as interior parts, made to a great extent of carbon fibre-reinforced plastics (CFRP), merged into a new company called Stelia Aerospace (www.stelia-aerospace.com). The joint company’s workforce comes to 6,100, spread across 11 plants. It will have pro forma sales of about EUR 1.65 bn.
