Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsrecyclers.eu) is bringing together plastics recyclers, plastics packaging producers, brand owners and EU policy makers at its upcoming “Recycling Conference”, to be held in Düsseldorf / Germany on 8 May within the framework of the "interpack" packaging fair (8-14 May 2014; www.interpack.com). The event’s main focus will be design – a key step in the manufacture of packaging that often fails to take account of the need to recycle the product once it has fulfilled its usage.

During the conference, PRE will launch its RecyClass platform for recyclability assessment, aimed at ensuring better recycling of plastic packaging by helping designers approach and evaluate their products with recycling in mind.
