On 1 January 2012, Kevin Baudhuin took over as president and CEO of Belgian protective packaging producer Pregis (Wellen; www.pregis.com). Baudhuin, who joined Pregis in December 2007 as president of the company´s North American protective packaging business, replaces Glenn Fisher, who had served as the company´s CEO since February 2011.

"Kevin is an experienced leader who has been instrumental in helping Pregis´ protective packaging business achieve new milestones during the past four years. In his expanded role, we are confident that he can assist the company in realizing additional growth potential," Glenn Fisher commented on Baudhuin´s appointment.

In addition, the company announced that it has completed the sale of its Kobusch-Sengewald business (see Plasteurope.com of 18.10.2011) to an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners (Boca Raton, Florida; www.suncappart.com) for EUR 160m.

The latter has been on an amazing acquisition spree in 2011, wrapping up the year with the purchase of Styrolution´s (Frankfurt / Germany; www.styrolution.com) Elix Polymers (Tarragona / Spain; www.elix-polymers.com) ABS business (see Plasteurope.com of 04.01.2012).
