Public listing on New York Stock Exchange
After emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, LyondellBasell Industries (LBI, Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.lyondellbasell.com) now has seen its shares approved for listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) – see also Plasteurope.com of 27.04.2010. From 14 October onwards, the PP world market leader will trade 337m Class A and 229m Class B shares. The group says both shares have been trading in the over-the-counter (OTC) market since 1 May under the symbols LALLF and LALBF. The Netherlands-based company emphasised that some 3.1m LBI shares had changed owners on a daily basis since OTC trade first began.
