Alcan Kapa and Alcan Airex renamed
Following its takeover of Alcan Composites (Sins / Switzerland; www.alcancomposites.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 25.09.2009 – Swiss machine manufacturer Schweiter Technologies (Horgen; www.schweiter.ch) has rebranded Alcan Kapa (Osnabrück / Germany; www.alcankapa.de) as 3A Composites. Under its new name, the company will continue to produce light-weight panels with a PUR rigid foam centre.
Also as part of its integration into Schweiter, the former Alcan Airex (Sins / Switzerland; www.alcanairex.com) will receive a new name, too. The manufacturer of closed-cell speciality foams now operates as Airex. Schweiter announced that the group name Alcan Composites also will be changed shortly.
