The German trade company Krahn Chemie (Hamburg / Germany; www.krahn.de) will distribute with immediate effect the plasticiser dioctyl adipate (DOA) on behalf of US chemical group Oxea (Dallas,Texas; www.oxea-chemicals.com) in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and eastern Europe. Oxea added DOA to its portfolio last year following the acquisition of an esters production plant in Amsterdam / The Netherlands – see Plasteurope.com of 02.11.2009.

DOA is used as a PVC plasticiser and can be found in products such as cling-film, garden hoses and seals. Krahn said it also reached an agreement for the sale and distribution of adipate and polyol esters for the lubricant industry.
