Perstorp announces FM for TDI
On 1 October 2009, Perstorp (Perstorp / Sweden; www.perstorppolyols.com) declared force majeure on TDI. The announcement comes on the heels of a technical problem at the company’s TDA plant in Le Pont de Claix / France, which forced an emergency shutdown. The resulting feedstock shortages have led Perstorp to declare FM for all its TDI deliveries.
While the company is hoping to remedy the situation soon, it is unable to say how long FM will remain in effect.
