Ulrich Reifenhäuser elected chairman of German Plastics Machinery Association

The Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association (KuG) within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA, Frankfurt; www.kug.vdma.org) elected Ulrich Reifenhäuser, managing partner of extrusion technology specialist Reifenhäuser Maschinenfabrik (Troisdorf / Germany; www.reifenhauser.com), as its chairman on 18 June 2009. He succeeds Jan-Udo Kreyenborg, who has led the association since 2005.
Reifenhäuser has been deputy chairman of the association since 1999 and was also president of Euromap, the European association of plastics machinery manufacturers, from 2002 to 2005. Moreover, since 2003 he has chaired the exhibitors committee of the K trade fair in Düsseldorf / Germany, the world’s leading exhibition for the plastics and rubber industry.
Peter Steinbeck, managing partner of Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H, Lengerich / Germany; www.wuh-lengerich.de), was elected deputy chairman.
